Dr. Mariano Palena is an internationally recognized Interventional Radiologist with a strong focus on endovascular treatment for limb salvage, particularly in patients with Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI) and diabetic foot complications. His work combines clinical excellence, research, and education to advance minimally invasive solutions that help patients avoid amputation whenever possible.

After graduating in Medicine and completing his specialization in Radiology at the University of Bologna (Italy), Dr. Mariano Palena dedicated his career to advancing endovascular solutions for patients with severe peripheral artery disease and limb-threatening conditions.
He led the Endovascular Surgery Unit at GVM Maria Cecilia Hospital (2019–2022), where he managed complex cases of Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI) and diabetic foot revascularization.
Dr. Palena has also maintained a long-standing collaboration with Policlinico Abano Terme (since 2010).
